This July, Your Humanness is partnering with Creative Community Hive (a not-for-profit creative arts platform serving Halton) to bring three mindfulness-based creative workshops to local libraries.
Each session blends mindful attention with a different creative practice: storytelling, poetry, and art journaling.
Location: Oakville Public Library - Glen Abbey Branch · Ages 18+ · Suitable for all levels
A playful, mindful exploration of storytelling distilled to just 6 words. Inspired by everyday life and observation, participants will craft personal stories in just six words, discovering how brevity can hold surprising depth. No writing experience necessary.

Burlington Public Library — Brant Hills Branch · Ages 18+ · Suitable for all levels
Through mindful observation, create poetry from fragments of your life. That grocery list. Or the ticket stub. Use pieces of paper, and found words into a collage poem and weave in your handwritten words to discover beauty in everyday life.
We'll supply materials. Bring along anything with words that's sitting in your purse or wallet: a grocery bill, a receipt, a ticket. No prior poetry experience needed.
